A group of notable villains from Marvel Comics may make their live-action debut in Spider-Man 4. A recent rumor suggests that Brand New Day will feature the Enforcers as part of the film’s villain lineup. Plot details for the highly anticipated Marvel film are being kept under wraps. However, rumors have been surfacing, giving insight into the challenges and threats Tom Holland’s webslinger will supposedly be facing.
Members of Enforcers in Spider-Man 4 revealed
The Enforcers, who have appeared in several Marvel comics as foes of both Spider-Man and Daredevil, will reportedly show up in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as per a new rumor.
This rumor comes from renowned industry scooper Daniel Richtman. He shared on Patreon that the team’s lineup in the film will reportedly include Fancy Dan, Frederick Foswell, Montana, and Ox.
In Marvel Comics, the Enforcers are a group of hitmen/extortionists. They work for various employers within the criminal world, aiding them in a variety of schemes. The group first debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #10, released in 1964.
Consisting of Montana, Fancy Dan, and the Ox, the four are employed by Frederick Foswell (Big Man). They help him in his efforts to take over New York City’s criminal gangs. This results in a fight with Spider-Man that leads to their defeat.
In a later appearance, the Enforcers are employed by Norman Osborn to shut down Malone’s Flophouse as the latter wants to obtain the land it is on. However, one of the residents, Namor the Sub-Mariner, learns of their scheme and defeats them.
A subsequent appearance sees the villainous four teaming up with Sandman to fight the Human Torch, until Spider-Man shows up and helps the latter defeat them.
Later, the group returns with two new members, “Snake” Marston and “Hammer” Harrison. They cause trouble under Kingpin’s employ but eventually lose to Spider-Man and Sandman. Following this defeat, the Enforcers fight Daredevil.
Notably, the above rumor comes shortly after Alex Perez revealed in a Patreon/Discord Q&A session that Brand New Day will reportedly include “about nine villains” from Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery (via The Cosmic Circus). This already includes confirmed antagonists like Michael Mando’s Scorpion and Marvin Jones III’s Tombstone.
Meanwhile, Spider-Man: Brand New Day premieres in theaters on July 31, 2026.
