The family feud between Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz, and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, has reportedly been ongoing for months. Brooklyn has been “silent for years” in an “attempt to keep these matters private.” But now the oldest son has narrated his side of the story in a lengthy Instagram story post.
Looking at this reaction, a source told PEOPLE that “Brooklyn and Nicola “never wanted any of this.” “They just wanted to quietly live their lives and be married. But, after reading enough of the relentless inaccuracies about Nicola. A family member had had enough and wanted to set the record straight last year.”
The insider further added that although “Beckhams had plenty of time to make amends and try and fix the damage. But they “continued to push these false narratives.” And watching all of this, “Brooklyn and Nicola are just sick of it. Brooklyn knows his truth and was ready to speak it.” Meanwhile, a tipster had told the outlet last year that, although David and Victoria are not very pleased with their son. But, their relationship “is definitely not beyond repair.”
“They love and are always there for [Brooklyn]. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.” Even earlier this month, a source revealed to the outlet that the former footballer and the fashion designer “have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet and talk in order to move forward.”
However, with his latest story, Brooklyn has hinted he does “not want to reconcile with my family,” clarifying that he is “not being controlled” but “standing up” for himself “for the first time in my life.”
