Kristen Stewart recently opened up about her life with wife Dylan Meyer after marrying her earlier this year. The actress says getting hitched has given her a new perspective on family. The couple got married in April 2025, years after their romance started in 2019. The couple exchanged vows at Los Angeles Mexican restaurant Casita Del Campo in April.
Kristen Stewart says it’s ‘nice to not be an unmoored individual’ after marriage to Dylan Meyer
Kristen Stewart has opened up about what it’s like to be married to wife, Dylan Meyer, eight months after marriage. While speaking to Esquire in an interview published on Tuesday, December 9, the actress admitted that her married life has taught her that there is “power in numbers.”
She also feels “so nice to have a family. It’s so nice to not be an unmoored individual.” “Dylan came into my life, and I immediately was like, ‘It’s so important to handpick and curate the people that surround you,” the star admitted.
Shedding more light on how their personalities affect their relationship, the 35-year-old Oscar nominee revealed that her screenwriter wife Meyer “just does not suffer fools.” And although Stewart “may not always seem like it,” she tries to be a “nice guy.”
The “Twilight” star then admitted that “It’s just bolstering to be with someone that reminds you that your life is in your hands.”
However, Stewart confessed that although she loves her wife, she likes to have some alone time to gather her thoughts. “I am so with people all the time. I’m an Aries, so it’s rare that I’m not in a group.” “I like to steal time and remind myself to be alone.”
And it seems Meyer not only has a positive influence on Stewart’s personal life but also her work ethic as well. Sharing how her professional life has changed, she opened up to E! News’ Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview, shared that Meyer is “a consummate writer,” while she writes because she has to, “I find it miserable. I like to shoot,” she said.
She further noted they have “very different, very cohesive energies.” But despite this, Stewart thinks that they are “kind of unstoppable. She’s meditative and she’s very, very macro. I am so micro. It just works.”
