Stranger Things fans can now help the residents of Hawkins in their Upside Down adventures. In one of the wildest crossovers of the year, Stranger Things just landed in a Microsoft video game. Fans can now fly over Stranger Things Hawkins in this game

Fans are in for some mind-bending adventures in the Hawkins skies with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The video game series now allows the Stranger Squad to soar over Hawkins, chase Demogorgons in the Upside Down skies, and pursue Eleven’s adventures from 1,000 feet up.

Although popular for its unparalleled realism and providing virtual tourism for gamers, Microsoft Flight Simulator also dives into wild crossovers. From soaring Arrakis’ dunes in a Dune-themed Ornithopter, or dogfighting in Top Gun’s iconic jets, the game offers a variety of crossover experiences. Hence, the upcoming exploration of Hawkins’ Upside Down skies has both fans of the show and gamers buzzing with excitement.

Microsoft dropped the news of a free expansion to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in a blog post. The expansion highlights the eccentric Murray Bauman and his new project, Hawkins Heli-Tours, all set to give fans a tour of the fictional Indiana town. Gamers piloting a UH-1H “Huey” helicopter will get a bird’s-eye view of the show’s most iconic locations. This includes the Starcourt Mall, Hawkins Middle School, and Hawkins National Laboratory.

Presenting a variety of scenarios, Microsoft Flight Simulator offers players 5 missions to try out. Filled with shady ops, close-call chases, and high-stakes rescues, screenshots tease at saving townsfolk from Vecna’s rifts. After completing the mission, fans will get to explore a “highly detailed” map. It features over 40 different locations from the series, including the home of Victor Creel.

With Season 5’s final episodes set to air between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the Stranger Things x Microsoft Flight crossover couldn’t have dropped at a better time.
