David Harbour is bringing his beloved dynamic with Millie Bobby Brown to Netflix. The actors will reunite for a new spy series after Stranger Things. Harbour said their creative chemistry remains special. He also teased what fans can expect from their next project.
David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown are taking their chemistry to a new Netflix series.
Harbour and Brown spent a decade playing Hopper and Eleven. Their Stranger Things relationship became one of the show’s most beloved dynamics. The series ended in 2025 after five seasons. However, the actors are now exploring a completely different story together.
“I go anywhere in the world, and people know the relationship of Hopper and Eleven,” Harbour told E! News. “There’s something about that I thought was so special.” He said their previous partnership inspired their new collection.
Harbour wanted to preserve elements of their creative connection. He said he “wanted to use the building blocks of the dynamic between me and her.” The actors will now apply that chemistry to a new spy thriller.
“It really is a working relationship, where we love what we bring out in each other,” Harbour explained. He said they understand how to serve a larger story together. Harbour also admitted he loves seeing Brown “daily.”
The currently untitled Netflix series will feature a new relationship. Harbour will play a disgraced FBI agent forced back into the field. His estranged daughter Rebecca will also work as an FBI agent. She disappears during a mission, forcing her father to search for her.
Harbour and Brown will executive produce the series alongside their acting roles. Brown’s husband, Jake Bongiovi, will also executive produce. Emmy-winning writer Jack Thorne will write the series.
Thorne previously worked with Brown on the Enola Holmes films. The upcoming project marks another collaboration between Brown and a familiar creative partner. It also gives Harbour and Brown a chance to explore new characters.
For now, the Netflix project remains untitled. However, Harbour’s comments suggest the reunion means more than nostalgia. The actors are using their established chemistry to create something new.
