Tom Felton talks about shooting an action scene with Chadwick Boseman
While talking about Chadwick Boseman, “Harry Potter” alum Tom Felton recalled their time together. The team had to shoot a fight sequence that left Felton with a bruise. He said, “Crikey, that was a few years back. Chadwick was such a professional and definitely cut from a different cloth.”
Adding, he said, “He reminded me of Andy Serkis, who was a real gentleman when we were doing Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but who would turn into a whole different beast the moment they said “Action”, and drag me across the floor as Caesar the ape. The ferocity with which Chadwick threw me into a car! There was very little acting needed, because he delightfully beat the sh*t out of me.” (via The Guardian)
Felton also praised Boseman’s professionalism, noting how seriously he took the role and how convincingly he brought that character’s fury to life. Apart from his work with Boseman, the “Harry Potter” star also spoke about other moments from his career.
He also opened up about alternate endings for the books and movies. One fan questioned the possibility that Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton’s character in “Harry Potter”, could have fought Voldemort instead of standing with his parents. To this, Felton replied, “Yes and no. I’ve gone down this rabbit hole. But I’m not an author, and I am aware it was written perfectly, the films were adapted perfectly, and the stage show is brilliant. I’m a fan, but I’m not a megafan to the point where I’ve written my own fan fiction.”
