The Sussexes returned to the UK on August 26 and are reportedly staying at a private, nonroyal residence. Harry and Meghan are said to be staying at Wace’s luxurious country estate with their children. The couple has reportedly retained their homes in California and Portugal.

Royal expert Tom Sykes revealed that an in-flight scare reportedly brought Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and billionaire Ian Wace closer. The trio reportedly developed their friendship when Harry and Meghan were still working royals and traveled aboard Wace’s private jet.
Sykes shared on The Royalist Podcast: “The mystery of the connection between Harry, Meghan, and their billionaire host can finally be revealed, and it is a lightning strike on a private jet.”
Sykes dished that it was a brief but “terrifying” incident, and although there was no damage, it scared everybody on board. Nonetheless, the trio reportedly became good friends, and their friendship has seemingly stood the test of time.
Sykes explained that Wace is “a friend of the King” who has “contributed to his causes.” Hence, Sykes expressed curiosity about the 63-year-old hedge fund owner’s friendship with the King’s younger son and daughter-in-law.
As per the royal expert, Harry and Meghan are residing at his Rowler Manor estate in Northamptonshire, not in the Cotswolds, as popularly reported.
Sykes also pointed out that the Duchess of Sussex has given various hints about Wace’s sprawling estate through her Instagram posts. The royal expert clarified that he wasn’t sure whether the Sussexes were paying any rent or were simply being allowed to stay there.
Previously, it was widely speculated that the couple was residing in the Cotswolds for privacy reasons and also to be in close proximity to King Charles. However, it now appears that the previous reports of their stay in the Cotswolds remain unconfirmed.
