A new online rumor regarding Man of Tomorrow could indicate what the DCU might look like for Superman after the movie. The sequel to 2025’s Superman will feature another one of Superman’s iconic comic villains, Brainiac.
According to scooper @JamesMackwl, Brainiac might not die in Man of Tomorrow, but instead be tucked away to appear in the DCU once again. This could mean a multitude of things for Lex Luthor and Superman, who would be teaming up to fight the alien invader. Brainiac is also tied to Kara’s story, which might also be touched upon in the upcoming movie. However, the authenticity of the rumor remains unconfirmed.
Man of Tomorrow will be the fourth overall cinematic entry into the DCU, following this year’s sleeper horror hit, Clayface. The story has a slew of characters from Superman returning, along with faces from other parts of the cinematic universe.
What do we know about Man of Tomorrow’s plot so far?
All that is known about the story of Man of Tomorrow is that Superman and Lex Luthor are going to have to reluctantly team up to fight against Brainiac, a superintelligent alien who has set his sights on Earth.
