In a Violent Nature Part 2 Reveals New Details & Sets Release Date

In a Violent Nature Part 2 is bringing masked killer Johnny back to theaters. The upcoming sequel will introduce a summer camp setting while continuing the story of the 2024 horror film.

The movie will arrive exclusively in theaters on February 12, 2027. Ry Barrett reprises his role as Johnny and revealed the date during Shudder’s panel at New York Comic Con. The announcement followed the sequel’s world premiere at Fantastic Fest in September 2026.

In a Violent Nature Part 2 brings Johnny back for another bloody rampage

The sequel takes Johnny to a summer camp during an end-of-season celebration. A young outcast camper must spend the night at their annual party with his counselor sister and her friends. Their plans take a dangerous turn as Johnny begins his next rampage.

The story picks up immediately after the first film. Johnny finds a new group of victims as the sequel builds on that approach while introducing a new setting for Johnny’s next hunt. The filmmakers also aim to push the series’ extreme violence further, building on the original’s gruesome kills.

The original film took an unusual approach to slasher horror by following the killer’s movements instead of focusing primarily on his victims. This perspective helped distinguish the 2024 release from more traditional entries in the genre.

Chris Nash returns as screenwriter and co-director, working alongside Nate Wilson. Nash also produces the sequel with Peter Kuplowsky and Shannon Hanmer.

In the first film, Johnny awakens after a group of young people removes a golden locket from a collapsed fire tower. The object is connected to his resting place, setting him on a search to recover it. This supernatural backstory establishes the motive behind his actions in the original movie.
