Chris Evans & Anya Taylor-Joy’s Wild Hostage Movie Streams on Netflix Today

A wild hostage comedy-drama film, starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy, is now streaming on Netflix. The action-satire Sacrifice follows a fading movie star caught in a deadly hostage crisis at a lavish Greek island gala.

Directed by Romain Gavras, Sacrifice follows a fading movie star named Mike Tyler (played by Evans), who attends a glamorous environmental charity gala on a Greek island hosted by tech billionaire Ben Bracken and his wife Gloria. Things take a violent turn when the event is hijacked by a radical cult led by Joan (played by Taylor-Joy).

Joan takes Mike and other high-profile guests hostage, believing that they must sacrifice three people to a nearby volcano within three days to prevent an extinction-level event. “What unfolds next is an inward journey and outward adventure, where the line between performance and belief—and salvation and sacrifice—begins to blur,” according to Netflix.
