An underrated Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo action movie has finally arrived on the Peacock. The 2021 film is helmed by Joe Carnahan, best known for projects such as The Grey and Boss Level, among others.
Neo-noir action thriller Copshop is now available to stream on Peacock. When it was originally released five years ago, the film received mostly favorable reactions from critics as well as audience members.
Currently, Copshop holds a solid Tomatometer score of 83% and Popcornmeter score of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Gerard Butler and Frank Grillo have only worked together on Copshop. Speaking of their roles in the film, Butler plays Bob Viddick, a dangerous assassin, while Grillo portrays a con artist named Teddy Murretto.
The official synopsis for Copshop reads, “On the run from a lethal assassin, a wily con artist devises a scheme to hide out inside a small-town police station–but when the hitman turns up at the precinct, an unsuspecting rookie cop finds herself caught in the crosshairs.”
Butler was recently cast in a new action movie, in which he will appear as a sniper. Grillo will next appear in the political kidnapping comedy Show of Hands, which will be written and directed by P.J. Pesce. The actor will play the role of Barlow Galligan in the movie.
As for Copshop, its ensemble cast also includes Alexis Louder as Valerie Young, Toby Huss as Anthony Lamb, Chad L. Coleman as Sgt. Duane Mitchell, Ryan O’Nan as Officer Huber, Jose Pablo Cantillo as Officer Peña, Kaiwi Lyman-Mersereau as Officer Barnes, Tracey Bonner as Detective Deena Schier, and Keith Jardine as a Trooper.
Copshop was produced by Carnahan, Butler, Phillip Dawe, Tai Duncan, and Adam Fogelson. John Friedberg, Eric Gold, Warren Goz, Frank Grillo, and Daniel Kaslow also served as producers.
