Peacock is adding a hilarious comedy movie today, and it’s not Jumanji. Rather, the movie is the adventure comedy Migration starring Danny DeVito and Awkwafina. Directed by Benjamin Renner and written by Mike White, the animated movie originally premiered in December 2023 and heads to streaming today, October 19, 2026.
Migration follows a family of mallards who try to convince their overprotective father to take a vacation of a lifetime and migrate from New England, through New York City, to Jamaica on their unforgettable journey.
Migration premiered at the VIEW Conference in Turin, Italy, exactly three years ago today, on October 19, 2023. It received generally positive reviews. On the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a sparkling 73% Tomatometer score, alongside an 87% Popcornmeter score.
The movie’s box office record was also commendable. With a production budget of $72 million, Migration grossed $301.2 million worldwide. It earned $127.6 million at the domestic box office, per The Numbers.
Elizabeth Banks joins a star-studded voice cast for the mallard family’s cross-country adventure
Beyond its commendable story and direction, Migration featured a star-studded cast. Elizabeth Banks joined the ensemble as Pam Mallard, the daring, quick-witted wife of Mack Mallard, aka the family patriarch, played by Kumail Nanjiani.
They are joined by Caspar Jennings as Dax Mallard, Mack and Pam’s confident and restless older son, and Tresi Gazal as Gwen Mallard, the couple’s innocent younger daughter. DeVito also joined the cast as Uncle Dan, Mack’s curmudgeonly, adventure-averse uncle, and Dax and Gwen’s great-uncle, and Awkwafina as Chump, the gruff, one-footed leader of a New York pigeon gang.
The voice cast also included Keegan-Michael Key, Carol Kane, David Mitchell, Isabela Merced, and Boris Rehlinger. In the UK edition, musician Tom Fletcher and his wife, actress Giovanna Fletcher, also share a cameo as the ducks Joe and Ellie.
You can now stream Migration on Peacock.
