The Nora is an Anti-Snoring Device That Will Give You and Your Partner a Good Night’s Sleep

Sleep is a pretty big deal, especially in these tough economic times where you need to work around the clock in order to ensure that you don’t have to sell your first-born in order to make ends meet. So if you or your partner is a snorer, you’ll both inevitably wind up in numerous heated arguments come morning time due to you being unable to sleep over the roaring sounds frequently being emitted in your bedroom.

In steps the Nora, a new smart device that aims to bring an end to your snoring by maneuvering the positioning of your pillow whenever it detects that you are snoring, in order to open up your airways and therefore giving you more room to breathe.

The device, which has now almost quadrupled its initial Kickstarter goal of $100,000 with there still a few days of the campaign left to go, utilizes a built-in microphone in order to detect your breathing patterns. When you snore, it sends a message to an inflatable cushion that sits beneath your pillow, which it then remotely pumps in order to discreetly alter the positioning of your pillow, and by extension the positioning of your head, too. This stimulates the neck muscles and opens up your airways, which will therefore prevent your snoring.

The eventual retail price of the Nora will be a pretty steep $299, though if you or your partner’s snoring is affecting your relationship, then that will inevitably be a small price to pay to ensure that you can finally get a good night’s sleep.

Shipments of the Nora to backers are scheduled to begin in May 2016, with the official retail launch date of the product not yet confirmed. Check out its Kickstarter page right here
