Eau Palm Beach Hotel Shares a Five Star Story

Just 20 minutes from the swanky streets of Palm Beach, sits Eau, a beachfront resort with an award-winning spa.

The recently redecorated interiors are sumptuous and sexy, with lots of white, lots of low light, and a very cool vibe.

Champagne on arrival, and complimentary flip-flops and beach bags reveal the folks behind Eau know how to instantly ease a guest into the chill-out zone.

The spa, with its floating chairs, hung just low enough to dip a toe in the shallow pool below, is what sets Eau apart. A North African-inspired outdoor relaxation space invites lounging of a serious order with water elements throughout and no areas off-limits.

Rooms are spacious and well laid-out with views of the ocean, pool or garden. Upgrade to club level, if you can. Rather than being filled with bar food and nibbles, its got a great blend of healthy fare as well as the naughty stuff.

Hang around the pool for even just one hour, and you’ll walk away with a handful of friends. Guests at Eau seem to be regulars who return frequently, and are the hotel’s unofficial welcoming committee. In just an afternoon, we’ve met four people and picked up two restaurant recommendations.

The gym’s got all the latest equipment, and offers daily spin, Pilates and yoga classes. For those who prefer outdoor workouts, there are tennis courts, and Eau’s stretch of the ocean is calm enough to swim, unlike some of the local beaches, which have dangerous rip tides.

My insider’s tip — after a day in the sunshine, and some time in the spa, spend the evening with a cocktail at the open fire pits, where you can order up all the fixings for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. The light-hearted touch shows this five-star hotel is about fun as much as it is about luxury.
