Hey, some folks wan to be accountants and some folks want to paint butts for a living. As fun as crunching numbers sound, I think we’ll prefer to go with the latter.
Let’s all meet painter Paul Roustan. Roustan’s job is simple: paint on the bodies of beautiful women and get paid for it. That’s it.
“I did my first body painting out of curiosity for a magazine in Boston,” Roustan tells Maxim. “I had no idea I would become so fascinated with painting on skin. But, after the first one, I became obsessed and haven’t stopped.” Well, who would stop?
“There is something special about painting a person, seeing your work come to life: dance, breath, and move,” Roustan added. “It makes me appreciate my artwork as if someone else did it, effectively silencing my self-critic.”
Roustan is really, really into butts. Even more than us it seems.
“Butts are just one part of the body that gets painted,” Roustan says. “Sometimes, it’s the focal point of a series, but not usually. I generally focus on the full body.” And even though he gets to paint beautiful women, Roustan’s “dream butt” would be Bill Murray’s butt. Makes sense.
