Comic-Con 2014: New Trailer for Kevin Smith’s Tusk

Kevin Smith may be having trouble getting Clerks 3 off the ground, but he doesn’t seem to have any problems turning Justin Long into a walrus. Which is an odd sentence to have to write. But that’s pretty much what happens in this new trailer for Kevin Smith’s Tusk, which premiered at Comic-Con 2014.

Tusk is the latest film from writer/director Kevin Smith. It’s a horror movie starring Justin Long as a podcaster whose latest interview subject, played by Michael Parks, kidnaps him and plans to turn him into a human walrus. Clearly, someone has been watching too many Human Centipede movies, and presumably turning them off before they end.

It’s the latest in a career reversal for Kevin Smith, who jumped into the limelight during the 1990s indie comedy boom with Clerks and Chasing Amy but who has taken a turn to the Dark Side with horror films like Red StateTusk and the upcoming Christmas horror movie Anti-Claus, about the demonic Christmas legend called “The Krampus.”

Kevin Smith is here at Comic-Con 2014 – because obviously – so CraveOnline is going to try to track him down and get some explanation as to how the heck Tusk happened. In the meantime, keep coming back for all the latest coverage, and maybe check out Tusk when it arrives in theaters on September 19, 2014.
