DC Reveals Jim Lee’s Batman Cover For 2014 Comic-Con International Souvenir Book

For most of Comic-Con International’s history in San Diego, the souvenir guide book has featured covers by some of the biggest names in the industry. This year’s cover will be no exception.
 
San Diego native and DC’s co-publisher, Jim Lee has provided the artwork for the 2014 Comic-Con International souvenir guide book. Lee’s new rendition of Batman will also be available as a T-shirt during the convention.
 
 
This year’s Comic-Con International souvenir guide book will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Marvel, the 50th anniversary of Daredevil, the 30th anniversaries of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Usagi Yojimbo in addition to the 20th anniversary of Hellboy and a special section devoted to Batman’s 75th anniversary. The souvenir guide book will also feature artwork and essays by several comic industry professionals.

Every attendee at Comic-Con is given a copy of the souvenir book when they pick up their badges, but copies have been known to show up on ebay shortly after the convention ends. 
 
In addition to Lee, DC is bringing several of its top comic creators to Comic-Con International, including Amanda Conner, Scott Snyder, Greg Pak, Gail Simone, Chip Kidd, Charles Soule, Brian Buccellato, Marc Andreyko, Ray Fawkes, Dan Jurgens, Jeff Lemire, James Tynion IV, Tim Seeley, Tom Taylor, Tom King, Robert Venditti, Van Jensen, Mark Buckingham, Daniel H. Wilson, Peter Tomasi and Jimmy Palmiotti.
 
Comic-Con International will officially begin on Thursday, July 24.
