Sometimes even the most intelligent man on Earth needs to unwind, and Stephen Hawking used his time onthe HBO show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver to do just that.
Hawking was interviewed by the satirist for the show, with topics such as parallel universes and artificial intelligence giving way to Hawking ribbing Oliver. The end result is hilarious.
Both Stephen Hawking and John Oliver have appeared in their own separate hugely popular YouTube videos over the past month, with Oliver’s rant about FIFA and the World Cup 2014 turning the world’s attention to a hugely problematic issue, and Stephen Hawking’s predictions for England’s chances at the football tournament giving a far-too-scientific outlook on the international squad’s hopes of success.
