Musical Chairs Free Agency: Kevin Love Style

The question is, where will Minnesota ship their All Star forward? Much like what happens in musical chairs, Love’s destination is uncertain at this point. With that in mind, let’s play a few rounds.

Were Love to wind up in Los Angeles, the Lakers would be able to pair him up with Kobe Bryant and not much else. The Lakers were basically a D-League team last year and they have multiple first round draft picks being sent out in future years (2015 and 2017) with none coming in. “25 Or 6 To 4” – Chicago

“San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Some Flowers in Your Hair)” – Scott McKenzie

“More Than A Feeling” – Boston

“I lost myself in a familiar song

I closed my eyes and I slipped away”

They also have a plethora of first-round picks through 2018, including their own, that they might be able to package with a young player with upside like Jared Sullinger to entice the Wolves to deal Love. It would take some doing, but starting a new “Big Three” with Rajon Rondo and Love could work. Rondo’s down…
