Minnesota T’Wolves Score No. 1 Pick In 2015 NBA Draft Lottery

The Minnesota Timberwolves secured the No. 1 pick in next month’s NBA Draft after winning the draft lottery Tuesday night in New York.

The T’Wolves had the highest chance (25%) to win the overall No. 1 selection after finishing a league worst 16-66.

The team will most likely select the big they need in either Karl-Anthony Towns, the 19-year-old Kentucky Center, or 19-year-old Duke center Jahilil Okafor — both are touted as the best talent in this year’s draft.

With current Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins and second-year forward Anthony Bennett on the team (both originally from Cleveland), this will mean Minnesota will have three consecutive No. 1 picks on their roster.

The only shock of the night came when the Lakers gained the No. 2 selection when they were supposed to land outside the top three. They will now pick No. 2 instead of the Knicks, who moved to No. 4. L.A. will certainly get the player Minnesota passes on in either Okafor or Towns.

Here’s a screen shot of the results:

The only thing missing from this year’s Draft Lottery was a cute owner’s daughter.
