Fans will always tell you to bring a glove to the ballpark because you’ll never know when you’ll need it. What fans won’t tell you is that it isn’t going to matter whether you have a glove or not if you can’t catch the damn ball.
Check out the Instagram video from Monday night’s Indians-Tigers game of this Cleveland Indians fan, who probably should have a better assessment of his baseball skills before he attempts to field throws from a major league ballplayer.
In this video posted to Crave sports site NESN, Indians outfielder Asdrubal Cabrera gives back to the fans by lobbing a souvenir into the right field seats — unfortunately, the ball heads for a fan who promptly…uh…misplays the ball.
Misplays it right into his face.
No telling whether the fan was already several beers in at the time or whether he really was just as massively uncoordinated as he appears.
Either way, it makes for a fantastic piece of video to watch over…and over…and over…
