Travel Squibs: Palms N9NE Steakhouse Offers Fresh Cuts

SQUIB: a : a short humorous or satiric writing or speech; b : a short news item. (Merriam-Webster)

This Travel Squib wants you to leave the bone in and leaves it to you to decide if that’s dirty.

The N9Ne Steakhouse at the Palms Resort and Casino in Las Vegas may have undergone an interior decor renovation to update its appearance, but its reputation as one of the city’s best steakhouses remains intact.

I recommend starting with the Point Judith Calamari or the Butternut Squash Ravioli as an appetizer. The Old School Ice Berg Wedge Salad is a reliable classic, and the Lobster Bisque is light and flavorful.

Amidst the entrées, steak lovers should reach for the Bone-In Filet, a cut not often found on most menus. On the side, George’s Creamed Corn is a speciality, with the aged cheddar Mac and Cheese a classic option.

For dessert, Bakake keeps it homey with dipping donuts and Some More S’Mores, complete with flame.

On a nightly basis, N9NE proves you can serve a gourmet meal without grasping for the elitist or the bizarre.
