The New Republic, Slate and Mother Jones Won’t Say Washington Redskins

Three publications are taking an editorial stand about the Washington Redskins. Slate, The New Republic and Mother Jones have all decided not to use “Redskins” because it is perceived as derogatory to Native Americans.

Crave’s NESN reported The Washington Post and ESPN will continue to use the official team name … for as long as owner Daniel Snyder keeps it the official team name of the professional football team from Washington, D.C. (Damn, now we’re doing it. Darn liberal media.)
