The last time you passed by a ‘As Seen On TV‘ display at a store you probably saw boxes of Snuggies. And that’s because those ugly blankets and their hilarious infomercials were actually super popular at one point. But as hilarious as those infomercials were, they weren’t exactly truthful, and now because of that the company behind the blanket has to hand back millions of dollars.

According to Daily Mail, people who bought Snuggies after being reeled in by the buy-one-get-one-free offers should expect a check of about $33.14 in their mail soon. And that’s because the two for ‘just $19.95’ deal that was promoted by Allstar Products Group failed to tell people about those annoying extra handling fees.

People who bought the blanket for some reason were also charged $7.95 in handling for each item. So instead of paying $19.95 for two Snuggies, people instead ended up paying  $35.85. So yeah, not exactly a good deal.

But not to worry, folks, your refund checks will be mailed out this week so keep an eye out for that. Then again, who would be crazy enough to pay almost $40 for two Snuggies? I mean, besides my grandma.

And since you’re all in the spirit, let’s take a look at one of those classic Snuggie informercials.

A true nightmare.
