Saudi Groom Divorces Wife Two Hours After Wedding Because She Shared Pictures On Snapchat

Just be glad you live in America and you can use as many terrible Snapchat filters as you want, as often as you want, at anytime.

A lot of bizarre things happen before, during and after a wedding. We all know about the bride that let wedding guests grab her boobs to raise money for her honeymoon. And we also know about the virgin bride who beat up her husband after seeing his “scary” penis. And this story is probably even more bizarre than those two combined.

So it seems that a marriage in Saudi Arabia lasted just two hours. Yep, read that again: Two hours. Why? Well, the bride broke an agreement not to share pictures of the ceremony over Snapchat. This is the world we live in.

The groom immediately filed for a divorce once he learned that images of the wedding had been snapped to his new wife’s female friends.

‘There was a prenuptial agreement between my sister and her fiancé that she would not use social-media applications such as Snapchat, Instagram or Twitter to post or send her pictures,” the bride’s brother told Saudi daily Okaz. “It was included in the marriage contract and became binding. Regretfully, my sister did not honor the pledge and used Snapchat to share pictures from the wedding ceremony with her female friends, resulting in the shocking decision by the groom to cancel their marriage and call for divorce.”

The bride’s relatives apparently argued that the agreement was unfair (no kidding). But, on the other hand, the groom’s relatives argued that he had been perfectly within his rights to file for divorce.

In conclusion: Take your chances getting married in Vegas.
