Most Craved Does The Oscars | Who Will Win (and Who Should)

We’d like to thank the Academy, but we can’t. This year’s Oscars have been mired in controversy and on top of that, they’re hard to predict. Only a handful of the categories seem like a sure thing (Leonardo DiCaprio, this would appear to be your year), leaving Best Picture and Best Director wide open for films as remarkably different as a post-apocalyptic thriller (Mad Max: Fury Road), a dour journalism drama (Spotlight), a violent western revenge saga (The Revenant) and a comedy about the economic collapse (The Big Short).

Seriously, any of those films could win Best Picture, and we wouldn’t be surprised. But who has the best shot? And why do we care? This week on Most Craved, William Bibbiani (Crave), Silas Lesnick (Coming Soon) and Jenna Busch (Legion of Leia) talk you through all the biggest categories at the 2016 Oscars. Who will win and who should? They have the answers… they think.

All this, and watch Bibbs try to remember all the nominees off the top of his head. (Hey, it’s harder than it sounds. YOU try it.) Watch the episode, follow us on Twitter at @MostCraved, and come back next week for more of the entertainment news and commentary you crave!

William Bibbiani (everyone calls him ‘Bibbs’) is Crave’s film content editor and critic. You can hear him every week on The B-Movies Podcast and watch him on the weekly YouTube series Most Craved and What the Flick. Follow his rantings on Twitter at @WilliamBibbiani.
