Exclusive First Look At DC Comics’ Justice League Tarot Card Deck

Later this month, DC Collectibles is releasing a Justice League Tarot deck designed by Sara Richard that puts some of the world’s most famous superheroes and villains together in a re-imagining of the classic card set.

Ahead of the official release, DC has provided CraveOnline with six exclusive images from the Justice League Tarot deck, which you can see below!

Two of Swords

The Two of Swords is a card of mediation and reflection rather than action. And who better to serve as an example of this than DC’s Madam Xanadu? Reading the cards and foretelling the future are just a few of her magical abilities.

The Tower

Some men just want to watch the world burn. The Joker will do that and laugh amidst the flames. The Tower represents a sudden disruptive change that potentially leads to destruction. That’s right up the Joker’s wheelhouse.

Queen of Pentacles

The Queen of Pentacles is usually a positive card that symbolizes material success and security. The card is also said to usually depict a motherly woman. Since Vixen’s powers involve her invoking the abilities of animals through her magical amulet, she may have been chosen for this card because of that unique connection she has with nature.

Four of Wands

This is a card of harmony and peace. Several members of the Justice League appear on the Four of Wands as they enjoy a rare chance for tranquility and relaxation.

The Empress

The Empress of the tarot deck is said to have dominion over growing crops and other plant life. Poison Ivy fills that role in the DC Universe, but not always for the benefit of mankind.

Ace of Cups

The Ace of Cups represents joy, creativity, love, success, and satisfaction. Former Green Lantern Kyle Rayner is depicted here in his second heroic role, the White Lantern, a protector of life itself!

The Justice League Tarot card deck will retail for $29.95, and it will be released later this month.
