It’s been a big week for dicks, and we’re not talking about those in political circles. Lenny Kravitz rocked out with his cock out after a wardrobe malfunction, and now actor and musician Jared Leto hasn’t taken kindly to being accused of having a large package. What a week it’s been for peen.
According to Above The Law, Leto’s lawyer Allison S. Hart has sent a letter to gossip website Lipstick Alley, which threatens legal action on the grounds of defamation because Lipstick Alley users have supposedly accused Leto of having a sizeable johnson on the website’s forums.
In response to Ms Hart’s threats, Lipstick Alley‘s lawyer Paul Alan Levy has written a darn good letter in defence of the website, which he has posted online in full.
The letter explains to Ms Hart that some user comments posted on Lipstick Alley are sourced by users from other gossip websites, and he explains that alleging defamation on the grounds of being accused of having a large member is a slippery slope.
“Some of the posts of which you object do not appear to me to be defamatory,” Mr Levy says in his letter. “Two of the posts simply mention claims found elsewhere in the Internet that your client has a large penis.
“It is hard to see how those statements would hurt your client’s reputation, even if they are false. It is, as I understand it, the accusation of having a small penis that is understood to be an insult.”
According to Mr Levy’s response, Ms Hart’s letter also references accusations from the Lipstick Alley forums of rough sexual conduct by Leto, as well as allegations of a sexual encounter with an underage fan.
Responding to these allegations, Mr Levy says the comments “may well have been defamatory when originally posted, assuming that they are false”.
Then, like a champ, Mr Levy highlights Ms Hart’s lack of evidence. “I assume that you do not have personal knowledge about the size of Leto’s penis or about whether he is rough with sexual partners, and you do not cite any evidence supporting your claim of falsity,” he says.
Jared Leto is yet to publicly comment on Ms Hart’s and Mr Levy’s letters, nor suggestions regarding his penis size. Nor should he really. Mr Levy’s full letter to Leto’s lawyer can be read below.
