The Flash Season 1 Blooper Reel Wins The Internet

The CW’s adaptation of DC Comics’ The Flash is one of the best comic book dramas on TV, but it also a light touch and occasional humor that keep things from getting too serious. It helps that the cast looks like they’re having the time of their lives while filming the show.

A Blu-ray and DVD release of The Flash Season 1 is right around the corner. But first, the blooper reel from the first season has apparently leaked online. And this is no mere compilation of flubbed lines and angry swearing (although, there is plenty of that!). This is eight minutes of epic silliness, in true Flash style!

And what have we learned from this video? Grant Gustin and Danielle Panabaker love to dance on the set, and even a veteran performer like Jesse L. Martin can screw up his lines, although his Lion King reference was hilarious. There’s also a really hilarious moment of the guy in the Gorilla Grodd motion capture suit desperately trying to scratch himself.

Tom Cavanagh also has a few wheelchair bloopers and somebody pranked Rick Cosnett. Surprisingly, Arrow star and frequent Flash guest, Emily Bett Rickards shows up in the footage without a flub of her own. Brandon Routh, Malese Jow, and Robbie Amell were not as lucky!

All of this footage comes from the 23 episodes that comprised the first season of The Flash. The video is a little grainy, but that shouldn’t be a problem if you pick up The Flash Season 1 on Blu-ray or DVD on Tuesday, September 22.

The Flash Season 2 starts on Tuesday, October 6.

Flash fans, share your favorite funny moments from the blooper reel in the comment section below!
