The Suicide Squad Returns For ‘Arrow’ Season 3

Last year, Warner Bros. announced a Suicide Squad movie with an all-star cast that includes Will Smith and Jared Leto. But that won’t stop the Suicide Squad from making a return appearance on “Arrow.”

ETonline is reporting that the Suicide Squad will guest star in the 18th episode of “Arrow” Season 3, which will be called “Suicidal Tendencies.” The episode will introduce Steven Culp (“Grey’s Anatomy”) as Senator Joe Cray, a character introduced during the classic John Ostrander run on Suicide Squad.

In the comics, Senator Cray was a corrupt politician who used the Suicide Squad to further his own agenda. In “Arrow,” Senator Cray “will be at the center of a rescue operation in the fictional Republic of Kasnia.”

Deadshot (Michael Rowe) will be making his first appearance on “Arrow” since the second season finale, and of course Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) will also be on hand. Black Tiger (Michael Jai White) will not be in the episode, but Cupid (Amy Gumenick) will be reintroduced as a new member of the team.

“Arrow” Season 3 continues tonight on The CW.
