Future Music Festival Introduces Epic New Supernova Stage

The Future Music Festival has added a major addition to its 2015 national tour, but it’s not another A-grade international act.

Headline Avicii sets at this year’s festival will come atop the new “mind-blowing” Supernova electronic main stage, introduced by festival on Thursday.

“Australia’s biggest music festival, for the first time ever, is proud to introduce a fully bespoke electronic main stage that will blow you away!” the festival announced via Facebook.

Designed by James Klein, the man behind the stage Miami’s Ultra Music EMD festival, Supernova will provide punters with “a mind-blowing, custom-built EDM experience”.

“I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but you can expect CO2 jets, integrated video, multiple flame systems, synchronized pyrotechnics and tons of confetti and streamers,” Klein said.

Following news earlier in the week that Aussie hip-hop legends Hilltop Hoods would be joining the national tour, Future has also announced the inclusion of Australian producer Timmy Trumpet to the lineup following top 10 ARIA success with the single ‘Freaks’ and a recent 46-stop tour around the US.
