WWE 2K15 Delayed to November 18th on PS4 and Xbox One

WWE 2K15‘s PS4 and Xbox One release date has been pushed back from October to November 18th in the US, November 21st internationally, meaning that it will now be released in the same week as Far Cry 4 and the remastered edition of Grand Theft Auto V. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game are still set to release on the original October 28th release date, and October 31st internationally.

2K has explained that the delay”is in the interest of delivering the best possible WWE experience to you, the fans, and 2K’s development teams are working hard to ensure its success.”

Visual Concept president Greg Thomas added: “Visual Concepts and Yuke’s are committed to delivering the most authentic and action-packed WWE experience to date, including release for the very first time on next-generation consoles. The additional development time enables our talented teams to ensure the WWE 2K15 next-gen experience fully meets our expectations.”

Pre-release footage has indicated that WWE 2K15 is a huge visual improvement over its predecessors, with the WWE series of video games having always been berated when it came to their dated graphics. However, little has been shown in the way of gameplay thus far, so it could be that this delay has been set in place in order for Visual Concepts and Yuke’s to tweak the mechanics of the game.

Regardless of the reasoning, one thing’s for certain: WWE 2K15 is going to have some huge competition when it finally launches.
