Deadmau5 Reveals Further Details On New Album ‘While (1<2)’

Electro house producer Deadmau5 has finally dropped more details on his upcoming seventh studio album.

The Canadian, also known as Joel Zimmerman, posted the details on his website under the title ‘Album Stuff’ which included a release date and the above cover art for the new album While (1<2).

While (1<2) continues the Deamau5 trend of interesting album titles – including Lack of a Better Name4×4=12 and Album Title Goes Here– and will be available digitally from June 17 before dropping in stores and via streams from June 24.

Deadmau5 fans can expect a Trent Reznor feature on the new album.

“It’s a two disc album, which is pretty cool, because if you don’t like the one disc, there’s always the other,” Deadmau5 told Australian radio station Triple J in March. “Trent Reznor and his lovely wife are on it. I’m one of those guys that if I’m gonna work with another artist, I like to leave things alone. I wouldn’t want to make a song like it would sound like it would go on their album, but also wouldn’t sound like it belongs on mine.”

Details of the new LP are scarce, however it is said to feature music from his deleted Soundcloud account. A sample of the album opener ‘Avarita’ is also available for a listen.
