Killer Instinct has already lived a healthy life since its inception in November of last year, having a Story Mode, new characters, online lobbies, and more. Season One has concluded, but an even better Season Two awaits. It might not be in the hands of Double Helix Games due to their Amazon acquisition, but what’s coming looks hot.
Eight characters will be coming to Killer Instinct during the next season. Aria, a mysterious humanoid, is currently the only confirmed new character, and it will not only be playable but also be the final boss for Story Mode Season Two. Other characters have been hinted including the likes of T.J Combo, Cinder, and Riptor.
In addition to characters, Killer Instinct will have No Mercy finishing moves added in the near future.
As with Season One, these new characters will come with a price tag. On the plus side, you won’t have to invest in an Ultimate version in order to stay relevant.
