Expect A “Blockbuster” 2014 Future Music Festival Lineup

The Future Music Festival intends on remaining one of the highlight events on the Australian summer calendar, promising a “blockbuster” 2014 lineup.

“Every year we work hard to up the ante on the line-up we deliver for Future Music Festival in March and I gotta say we’re looking good to hit the ball right out of the park when announce next year’s blockbuster!” Future posted on the festival’s official Facebook page this week.

The March festival is looking to outdo this year’s lineup which featured The Prodigy, Dizzee Rasal, Bloc Party, Azealia Banks, The Temper Trap and Fun, however we’ll have to wait until sometime in October before the announcement is made.

Rumoured to be heading over are Deadmau5, British dubstep artist Skream and Depeche Mode.

If the rumours prove to be correct, Deadmau5 would be making his first return to Australian shores since 2011 and Depeche Mode their first since playing arena dates across Australian capital cities way back in 1994.

Social media-friendly Aussie promoter AJ Maddah confirmed back in May that the English electronic veterans are a lock to make Australian appearances as part of their current world tour.

Future Music Festival was among Australia’s highest attended festivals of 2013, attracting in excess of 50,000 fans in both Sydney and Melbourne.
