August PS Plus Includes Hitman: Absolution and 4 Other Games for Free

PS Plus has been incredible value over the years, and tomorrow it gets even better.

Hitman: Absolution will be made available for free to PS Plus subscribers starting August 6th. Other free titles for the month include Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball, Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower, and Machinarium. There will also be discounts on a variety of games including the entire Rayman collection. Yes, Rayman Origins is no exception.

I recently finished Hitman: Absolution and can attest to its quality. In some ways it goes in a new direction for the series, but it’s the highest-rated of the bunch. You still get to creep around observing the environment while searching for a way to take out your targets in interesting ways. It’s also a lengthy game. I clocked around 18 hours without touching any of the multiplayer features or acquiring even half the unlocks. If you aren’t interested in a PS Plus subscription then picking it up for $19.99 on the PS Store isn’t a bad option.

As far as the other four games go, it’ll come down to your tastes. All of them are indie titles, and two of them are only for PS Vita. Given their size it isn’t a bad idea to download and try them out, but don’t expect much mileage.
