Alan Ritchson won’t be slowing down anytime soon. His schedule is filling up with one franchise for the foreseeable future. The actor is heading into one of his busiest stretches yet as Prime Video expands its hit action universe. With a new season arriving soon, another already moving into production and a spinoff on the way, Ritchson’s next year is shaping up around Jack Reacher.
Alan Ritchson’s 2026 is about to become all Reacher
While promoting Motor City, Alan Ritchson revealed to Screenrant that there will be little downtime before his next mission. He confirmed that Reacher Season 5 is ready to roll, saying filming begins immediately.
“We start shooting on Monday,” he said, adding that every script has already been completed. He summed up the months ahead with a simple message, saying, “The last half of my year is going to be all Reacher season 5.”
That production update arrives just as Prime Video locked in its release plans for the franchise’s next chapter. Reacher Season 4 premieres August 12 with its first three episodes. The remaining five episodes will arrive weekly through September 16. On that same day, the spotlight shifts to Neagley, the upcoming spinoff led by Maria Sten, giving fans back-to-back additions to the growing Jack Reacher universe.
The fast turnaround has raised eyebrows because Season 5 appears to have been well underway behind the scenes before its official renewal in May. Ritchson confirmed the creative team already knows which Lee Child novel it is adapting, although he declined to reveal the title.
The series has never followed the books in publication order, so fans are still left guessing which adventure comes next. If production follows the show’s usual timeline, the next season could land on Prime Video around summer 2027.
Alan Ritchson has become one of Hollywood’s go-to action stars. While most fans know him as Jack Reacher from Reacher, he’s also delivered memorable performances on the big screen. He has been featured in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Ordinary Angels, and Fast X.
