Despite the negotiations, the Iran war continues, causing economic contraction in the USA and countries globally. American Research Group’s poll has found Donald Trump’s approval rating at an all-time low.
Trump approval at its lowest point in new polls
According to a recent poll by American Research Group, 30% of Americans approve of the president’s job performance, while 66% disapprove of his way of handling the job. This is the lowest approval result for both his presidencies as per the survey. The rating has been declining since 2018, when 52% disapproved of his handling of the economy.
White House spokesperson Davis Ingle has dismissed the reports, saying his reelection in 2024 was the ultimate poll, as per reports. However, American Research Group is not the only one; many other new polls have reported the same results.
As per the Quinnipiac University report, 60% of voters from 1,165 registered voters believe the US military action against Iran was not acceptable. Another poll taken on June 9-12 by Marquette Law School shows 62% disapprove of the current president’s work.
Inflation, especially in groceries and gas, is seen among the highest drivers of disapproval among voters. Many disapproved of his involvement in the Iran war that ultimately resulted in a pessimistic economy. The numbers might reshape the mid-term for Trump. The survey has shown divided voters over domestic issues and the global economy. However, the uncertainty in the market continues as Iran War negotiations have not reached any conclusions despite ongoing talks.
While White House has dismissed the poll numbers, the results have put pressure on the Trump administration as citizens are evaluating domestic and foreign policy issues. With midterms approaching, these numbers can result in Republicans facing a competitive situation in the Senate.
