Schitt’s Creek-Themed Cruise to Set Sail Next Spring, Arguably the Best Way to Get Covid Ever

Celebrity cruises are a strange niche part of the travel industry that was on hiatus for two years during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now that most of that coronavirus nonsense is in the rearview mirror, ships are preparing to set sail again, and they’re bringing on as many celebrity partnerships as they can to entice travelers back on board. To wit: there’s a new Schitt’s Creek-themed cruise preparing to ride the ties next spring.

Inspired by the award-winning TV series that focuses on the riches-to-rags Rose family, the cruise is called “Moira’s Boat Party: Ew, Cruising!” While cast members like Eugene Levy, Dan Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Annie Murphy will not be on board, they will be plenty of happenings to keep cruise-goers busy. The itinerary features fun and unique activities like a fruit wine tasting, Alexis’s bar crawl, The Crowening party, a Jazzagals performance and – best of all! – a costume contest.

For those who are dragged onto the boat because their significant other is a mega-fan of the show but they aren’t, fret not: there will also be traditional cruise activities offered, such as snorkeling and shore excursions.

Does this sound like your kind of vacation? Well, then mark your calendar for March 30, 2023, because that’s when the ship leaves Miami. It has stops in Key West and Nassau, Bahamas, before it returns to shore on April 3, 2023.

And for those worried about contracting Covid (or food poisoning, or any other myriad illnesses that cruising can involve), this ship isn’t sailing on the show’s eponymous body of water. Phew.
