Exclusive Video | Reuniting the Voices of Batman & Nightwing

Twenty five years ago, Batman: The Animated Series redefined DC’s Dark Knight detective, thanks in large part to the efforts of Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alan Burnett. Along the way, Timm and Dini co-created Harley Quinn, the Joker’s lover and sidekick, who eventually became one of DC’s most popular characters. This summer, Timm is revisiting his take on the Dark Knight in the Batman and Harley Quinn animated movie. As part of that film, Timm is bringing back Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester to portray Bruce Wayne/Batman and Dick Grayson/Nightwing for the first time in several years.

In an exclusive deleted scene from this week’s episode of DC All Access, Timm tells host Jason Inman that while he’s frequently worked with Conroy over the years, he had some initial trepidation about bringing Lester back. But fortunately, Timm has good news for fans of the classic ’90s cartoon.

DC All Access also debuted its newest episode today, and it features the rest of the interview with Timm as he shares other behind-the-scenes tidbits from Batman and Harley, in addition to footage that you may not have seen yet. This is the 30th film in DC’s long-running animated films for home video, and easily one of the most anticipated as well.

Batman and Harley Quinn will be released digitally on August 15, with the Blu-ray and DVD following on August 29.
