Donald Glover’s TV Series ‘Atlanta’ Finally Set To Air In Australia

Donald Glover’s Golden Globe-winning television series Atlanta is finally set to air in Australia, with SBS announcing that the show is coming to a bunch of its platforms “soon”.

Atlanta‘s first series aired in the US late last year, and is now set to head down under to pop up on SBS, SBS Viceland and SBS On Demand for FREE.

SBS announced the exciting news in a cheeky tweet following the show’s recent Golden Globes wins, saying:

The first season of Atlanta took home two awards at yesterday’s Golden Globes – Best Television Series (Musical or Comedy) and Glover for Best Actor (Television Series Musical or Comedy). The show, which is about two cousins trying to make their way into the Atlanta rap scene, doesn’t have an Aussie premiere date yet, but it really can’t come soon enough.

UPDATE: The first season of Atlanta will be released digitally in Australia on Wednesday, 1st March, along with some special behind-the-scenes footage. Aussies can pre-order the full season over on iTunes, Google Play, the Playstation Store, the Microsoft Store and Dendy Direct.
