Top 10 Highest Paid Jobs of 2016 Revealed

The top 10 highest paid jobs in 2016 have been revealed, with there being a few surprising entries on the list this year.

The list, compiled by CareerCast (via Mail Online), combines data revealing the best jobs for both annual income and growth, noting that surgeons enjoy the most well-paid profession, earning on average £283,000 per year. That’s a considerably more than the amount earned in the next highest-paid career, with psychiatrist picking up around £164,000.

Elsewhere in the list both dentists and orthodontists earn a large amount, picking up around £123,030 and £103,970 respectively. PR executives also rank highly, netting around £159,460.

Check out the top 10 list in full below:

3. Military General (£162,430)

4. PR Executive (£159,460)

5. Physician (£157,800)

The data also reveals which jobs have been ranked the worst, which again contains a few surprises. DJs rank among this list, with an annual salary of roughly £23,000 and low projected growth as radio stations continue to struggle financially. Newspaper reporters also face an upwards struggle thanks to the decline of print publications, while enlisted military personnel have to deal with low pay and high stress.
