The Worst Way to Say ‘The Bases Are Loaded’

When the Chicago White Sox were playing the Seattle Mariners, Ichiro Suzuki came to the plate with the bases loaded. That’s when White Sox announcer Ken “The Hawk” Harrelson chose a very interesting way to describe the bases being loaded by the team with the sea-faring mascot. Instead of saying “the bases are loaded,” Hawk says, “The sacks are packed with seamen.”

We’re pretty sure he knew what he was doing. We’re also pretty sure baseball needs more Hawks.
