Chicago White Sox: Stadium’s New Name Is Terrible

We all know the days of ‘Fenway Park and ‘Dodger Stadium’ are long gone, especially when it comes to naming the ballparks after anything other than a corporate sponsor.

However, the Chicago White Sox have signed a new naming-rights deal that makes their stadium name a real doozy.

How does Guaranteed Rate Field sound?

Yup. U.S. Cellular Field will now be called Guaranteed Rate Field as soon as this season ends.

As if Chicago needs another reason to not care about the South Side. Oy vey. At least the current name had the cool nickname of ‘The Cell.’ Comiskey would not be proud.
