Diddy’s Prison Release Date Changes Again, But This Time There’s a Twist

Sean “Diddy” Combs has received another update to his projected federal prison release date. The latest change moves the date closer, potentially allowing the rapper to leave prison sooner than previously expected. The update follows several changes to his projected release timeline.

Diddy’s projected prison release date changes to February 6, 2028

According to TMZ, the Federal Bureau of Prisons now lists Feb. 6, 2028, as Diddy’s projected release date. His previous projected date was March 2, 2028, which appeared in prison records last month. The latest update moves the projected date forward by more than three weeks. Earlier projected dates included Jan. 21, Feb. 5 and Feb. 20.

The changes come amid reports about Diddy’s time at FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey. He reportedly faced disciplinary issues at the facility, including a period in solitary confinement. According to reports, the punishment was connected to fights and the use of contraband cellphones. Diddy later transferred to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania, where he entered the general population.

There were also reports about Diddy receiving special treatment during his time at Fort Dix. According to NBC News, he allegedly paid other inmates to give him massages, prepare his meals and perform chores for him. The claims added to the attention surrounding his time at the facility. His transfer to Allenwood followed the reported incidents at Fort Dix.

Diddy’s prison sentence stems from his 2025 federal trial. A jury found him guilty on two counts of transporting people across state lines for prostitution under the Mann Act. The jury acquitted him of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges. A judge subsequently sentenced him to 50 months in federal prison.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons’ latest projection now lists Feb. 6, 2028, as Diddy’s expected release date. However, projected release dates can change, so the latest date does not necessarily represent his final release date.
