Diddy’s Prison Situation Takes Another Unexpected Turn After Head Injury

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been moved to a new federal facility for unknown reasons. Reportedly, authorities moved the former rapper from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood Low in Pennsylvania.

A Federal Bureau of Prisons representative confirmed his transfer. According to Entertainment Weekly, the rep said, “We can confirm that Sean Combs transferred to FCI Allenwood Low on Friday, October 16, 2026. For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer.”

Further, Diddy’s representatives also issued a statement on the matter. Juda Engelmayer stated, “His transfer from one low-security facility to another is an important distinction, and while we cannot speak to the BOP’s specific reasons for the move, it is consistent with a decision made with safety and security in mind.”

The transfer, which has been attributed to “security” reasons, comes days after the 56-year-old suffered a head injury. It remains unclear how he sustained it.

Diddy’s prison transfer follows reported head injury at Fort Dix

The move comes after Diddy was reportedly rushed to a hospital following injuries to his head. The news from TMZ stated that he had sustained an injury earlier on October 10 and had returned to the federal facility later that same day. Deadline and People later confirmed the news.

Engelmayer also spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the alleged incident, saying, “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances.” People magazine was able to confirm that injuries sustained by Combs were non-life-threatening.

Diddy was subsequently placed in solitary confinement. NBC News reported that the record producer’s move to solitary confinement was prompted by the discovery of contraband on his person. It also reported that fellow inmates pampered him in prison, cooking and cleaning for him and giving him massages.
