Brooklyn Beckham reportedly wanted more than a famous surname to define his career. The entrepreneur had turned to billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz for business advice while planning his next big move.
Brooklyn had already launched Cloud23, his hot sauce brand, in 2024. Now, sources claimed he wanted to expand beyond one product and build a lasting consumer business of his own.
Brooklyn Beckham leaning on billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz to create empire that can rival parents, per source
According to RadarOnline.com, Brooklyn had increasingly looked to Peltz for practical business guidance. The 84-year-old investor and businessman had spent decades building companies through investments and corporate deal-making. “Nelson has increasingly become the person Brooklyn looks to when he wants proper, practical advice about business,” a source told the outlet. The insider said Brooklyn viewed Peltz as his “best bet to building an empire to rival that of his parents.”
The source said Peltz encouraged Brooklyn to think beyond Cloud23’s immediate success. Instead, he reportedly advised him to build customer loyalty before adding more products. “The idea isn’t simply to sell bottles of hot sauce indefinitely,” the insider explained. Brooklyn reportedly wanted to learn how one product could anchor a broader brand.
That strategy mattered as Brooklyn tried to establish himself outside David Beckham and Victoria Beckham’s enormous public profile. His earlier career moves included photography and cooking before Cloud23 gave him another commercial venture. Brooklyn also spent more time with the Peltz family alongside wife Nicola Peltz Beckham. The couple recently joined Nelson and Claudia Heffner Peltz for a remembrance visit to Normandy.
Their European trip also included film festival appearances. Nicola received a Rising Star Award during their travels, and the couple later appeared together at the Deauville American Film Festival.
A source said Brooklyn increasingly viewed Nelson as an important “mentor.” He reportedly wanted to create something that belonged entirely to him. “Brooklyn is under no illusions about the comparisons he faces,” the insider said. The source added that his parents’ achievements inevitably shaped expectations around his career.
Brooklyn reportedly wanted to escape that comparison. “He doesn’t want to spend the rest of his career being described through somebody else’s achievements,” the insider explained. The source said Brooklyn understood success would take time. He reportedly wanted to build a company people eventually associated with him alone.
