Taylor Swift announced The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, featuring four new songs
Taylor Swift took to Instagram to announce The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore with four new tracks. She wrote, “About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history. I took a trip to Sweden to celebrate with Max and Shellback, my two collaborators on this album. Really, we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there, and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs.”
The singer added that they wrote new songs for the album The Life of a Showgirl, which was released in October 2025.
She added, “I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made. The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, including four new songs, is out on Friday and available to pre-order and save now ❤️.”
She shared a poster of her album featuring herself and gave credit to photographers “Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.”
Her announcement came a day after she announced a new singer, “Patient Zero.” Swift had been teasing the single for months. She set a 24-hour countdown on Monday that ended with her track announcement.
According to Variety, she shared a pre-order link that shows a list of songs including “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding,” and “Babylon.”
Her extended version of the Showgirl album marks her reunion with Max Martin and Shellback, as she has not worked with them since 2018.
This would mark her first song following her marriage to Travis Kelce in July 2026.
