RHOSLC star Heather Gay opened up about finding love again. However, she doesn’t see herself getting married again. Gay shared insight into her love life ahead of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7 premiere.
Heather Gay says she loves being with boyfriend Tripp but doesn’t see herself getting married again
Heather Gay exclusively opened up to Us Weekly about her new boyfriend. She said, “I mean, my romantic heart entertains it every time I’m with Tripp, but I don’t think I’ll ever get married again. I don’t want to, and marriage did not work out for me, and I just don’t see it as something I need.”
Gay, 52, revealed that she started dating someone named Tripp in late 2025. However, before starting the relationship, she ensured her three daughters approved of Tripp.
She said, “It was really important to me that I got … all of my daughter’s approval. It was, like, a deal breaker. So, [Georgia] was grilling him, and I was like, ‘Please go easy, don’t ask a question that I can’t recover from, you know, help a girl out here!’ But it’s the first time they’ve ever seen me with a man, so it made sense to give him the third degree.”
Gay shares three daughters, Ashley, 23, Georgia, 20, and Annabelle, 19, with ex-husband Billy Gay. While Ashley and Annabelle were easygoing, Georgia was “the hardest” when her daughters met Tripp.
She added, “They’re the closest now, I think, of all the kids. He’s helping her (Georgia) move to L.A., he’s putting together all of her furniture, so they’ve come full circle.”
Gay first met Tripp in 2016, when she hired him for “man-fixes” for her business at that time. While the fling didn’t last, they found their way back to each other. She added that this is the first time she has been smart with love and understands the risks involved.
The RHOSLC star said she felt supported by cast members while navigating her relationship on camera.
