Brandi Glanville’s health battle has taken another difficult turn. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is now getting financial help from a friend. Glanville says she finally has diagnoses and a treatment plan after years of searching for answers. However, the months ahead may include daily IV medication, several procedures, and surgeries.
Brandi Glanville’s ongoing health battle now includes surgeries and months of treatment
Glanville’s friend Gina Rodriguez launched a GoFundMe this week to help with her medical expenses. According to the fundraiser, Glanville has been diagnosed with highly resistant ESBL Klebsiella and Enterobacter with biofilm, Coccidioidomycosis, or Valley Fever, Demodex dermatitis and mononucleosis.
The page also says doctors found a “fungal ball” in Glanville’s face. According to the fundraiser, she needs surgery to remove it.
Her treatment plan also includes daily IV medication through a PICC line. The fundraiser says that could continue for at least four to six months, with treatment potentially lasting longer depending on her response. Glanville has also said she is undergoing lengthy daily IV treatments.
Rodriguez says Glanville also faces several other procedures, including removing old metal from dental work and her breast implants. Glanville has previously spoken about her health problems and the effect they have had on her face and daily life.
Meanwhile, the financial strain continues to grow. According to the fundraiser, treatment costs about $3,300 to $6,000 per month even with insurance. The money raised will help cover IV treatments, medication, medical and specialist expenses, upcoming surgeries and procedures, dental treatment, insurance costs, and basic living expenses.
Glanville recently shared Instagram videos about her condition. She said she can currently work only on her podcast and expressed concern about managing financially during the months ahead. People reported that she has spent more than $200,000 seeking answers and has consulted 21 doctors during her health battle.
TMZ reported that Rodriguez started the fundraiser after Glanville shared recent updates about her health.
For now, the RHOBH alum appears focused on treatment and recovery.
